Sunsilk Style Collection advertising feature in Yes! Magazine

I was browsing Yes! Magazine (Willy Revillame special) when I saw a model who looked familiar. I pointed her out to my hubby, saying "ay nagawa ko na siya", when I suddenly realized I was actually the one who did the particular ad. Hehe!

These two standout photos (seen at the right of the page) from their recent exhibit are just a sample of their amazing ability. Its members explain the concepts and present a piece of their vision.

Title: Enthusiasm

Model: Jedah Hernandez
Hairstylist: Steph Escobido
Photographer: Maan Palmiery
Makeup artist: Chichi Sotomil

Concept: Enthusiasm is passion with a dose of energy and fun. It is a positive feeling that is at once intense and lighthearted.

The look: “Keeping these concepts in mind, I wanted to interpret enthusiasm with a makeup look that is powerful and happy at the same time. To give the look an edge, I used red and orange as eye shadow, extended the orange shade as nose contour, and lined the upper lash lines with black gel eyeliner. At the same time, I kept the eyebrows undefined, highlighted the inner corners of the eyes with gold, and colored the lips with a soft coral shade to brighten the look.” —Chichi Sotomil

Bride: Len Gamad

Len is one of the most serene and soft-spoken brides I have ever met. How surprised was I during our trial when, with her specific request for light eye makeup, she also asked for... red lipstick! And yes, we went for it. Here we see her in her bright-eyed, glowing look for the ceremony, before she went for the statement red lips for the casino-venue reception. I just loved the combination of sweet and vamp!

Amina Aranaz in Masigasig Magazine (Jan-Feb 2009)

When I did makeup for Masigasig's feature on Tita Lynn's flavored suman, I got a lot of free (you guessed it!) suman. Meanwhile, I took home donuts during Masigasig's feature on Go Nuts Donuts. Was it too much, then, when I hoped for a free bag? Hehe.

The Makeup Forum contributes to The Women of Now feature (Metro Magazine Feb 2009, Kristine Hermosa cover). I did the makeup of Isabel Gatuslao.
